Celebrate-Purity
Being a teenager has never been easy; however, it is more difficult today than ever before. One reason that children are becoming more physically mature at a younger age than any other time in history. The pressure to become sexually active is presented daily through media, music, television, the internet, and movies. Secondly, young adults are delaying marriage until later in life. This longer time of singleness brings more temptaion and results in more compromise of values. The world is shouting, "Everybody's doing it!". "Be free to express yourself sexually."
- 50% of girls 15-19 have already had intercourse (that means 50% have not).
- 50% of teenagers 15-19 report participating in oral sex.
- Every day in the U.S. 52,000 people are infected with an STD, many incurable, some bring death.
- A survey of 500 teens found that 72% (almost 3 out of 4) girls who had sex wished they had waited.
What the world is offering is STDs, pregnancy, heartache, and guilt. Only purity offers real freedom. Purity makes sense. Choose purity and have no regrets.
Celebrate Purity was created to combat the negative message of the world and to help girls make a commitment to stay, or become morally pure. The purpose of Celebrate Purity is to focus on physical, spiritual, and emotional purity. The goal is to honor each young woman.
